A COVID SCARE

DR. P. IS NEGATIVE!

To My Patients:

You all know that I am a very positive person so that subject line was not referring to my personality. No it was actually referencing the fact that I have now been cleared with a negative Covid-19 test result.

For those of you who are unaware of the occurrences that took place last week in our office, I had a potential exposure last Wednesday with 2 individuals who were asymptomatic at the time, but developed symptoms the following night. They both informed me on Friday that they had symptoms and were going to have the test for Covid.

Fortunately, our office was closed Thursday, and I saw limited patients on Friday morning. I was informed by one individual on Sunday morning that they received their test results back and they tested positive. I was then in communication with the Montgomery Health Department multiple times on Sunday, and described the circumstances of my potential encounter, and the preventative procedures we have been practicing since the start of the pandemic.

After reviewing all of the information I presented to them they cleared our office for us to care for our patients. However due to the fact that I felt slightly fatigued on Monday (probably due to loss of sleep, and stress over the situation) I decided to close the office on Tuesday until I received a negative Covid test. I had the test performed on Tuesday, and as a healthcare worker I was informed that I should receive my results in 2-3 days if not sooner. Friday night I received the good news that my results were negative. This obviously was the best Christmas present I could have received.

Therefore, I will resume caring for patients on Monday December 28. I would like to apologize to those patients who were inconvenienced by the emergency office closure. I trust you understand that in these challenging times I just couldn't take a chance in spite of the fact I really had no symptoms. The risk was too great to many of my patients who have comorbidities. My fear was that although I had been cleared to treat patients by the Health Department, and I may not have shown any symptoms, I still could have been a carrier.

As you know my main concern is the Health and Wellness of my patients. I will continue not only to walk the talk, and demonstrate how I believe that we should live a "genetically congruent lifestyle". I will also support, teach, and demonstrate the "Four Pillars of Health" to my patients, and anyone who will listen, in order to assist those willing to learn and practice these principles how they can live a "Longer Healthier Life".

I thank you for your understanding as well as your thoughts, Prayers, and words of encouragement. I look forward to resuming our duties on Monday morning, and caring for those in need.
