The Rest of My Personal COVID Story

I would like to begin this article with a clarification of something that I inadvertently stated incorrectly in one of my last articles about my personal experience with COVID in our own household. I noted that I had to quarantine for 10 days. But that quarantine period was not true. According to the Montgomery County Department of Health if you have been in contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19 (for greater than 15 minutes) then you must quarantine, which I did.

We shut the office down as soon as my wife received her positive test, and I went into quarantine.

Next, I had to watch for symptoms of COVID. Each day that passed in the 3-5 day incubation period for the virus I woke every morning and felt fine. I had no fever, or any other symptoms at all. This continued each and every day.

Shorter Quarantine

Again, according to the Health Department, if you show no symptoms for 7 days you can have a COVID test done–which by the way is not fun unless you enjoy having your brain tickled through your nose–and if that test is negative, you are good to go. Which I then did, and I received a negative test and resumed seeing patients the following day.

No Symptoms

So, the question remains; “Why didn’t I have any symptoms?”

Well, as noted in my most recent article there is truth to the assertion that if you have O positive blood type that you have less of a likelihood of experiencing a COVID-19 infection. As I noted there are now several published articles in referenced journals as to why. If you missed that article, you can check it out here. The story is that, when you have type O positive blood, you have an enhanced immune response.

That may be one reason that I did not get infected with the virus or show any symptoms at all.

Another reason may be that I already had the infection and fought it off. That would mean that I would have a natural immunity to it. I believe that this may be the case, but that is another story which I will share with you soon.

Yet another reason is one that has been suggested by immunologists and virologists previously. That being that if you have had certain infectious diseases in the past and fought them off naturally you may have a “cross immunity” that would protect you from this novel coronavirus which causes COVID-19 disease symptoms.

I did in fact have one of the viral infections that is implicated in this cross-immunity theory. At about age 10 I came down with a severe infection. The cause of that infection was what was then called the “Hong Kong Flu” (a.k.a 1968 flu pandemic). I recall my mother sitting at my bedside placing cool compresses on my forehead in an attempt to break my high fever. I recall falling in and out of consciousness. In one of those lucid moments, I recall seeing our family doctor at my bedside.

Fortunately, I survived that event and, little known to me at that time, that difficult experience and my blood type may have saved me from experiencing any adverse effects from that devastatingly virulent viral infection. That experience a half century ago may have allowed me to have had the ability, rather than having a tandem disease process occur with my wife, to instead care for her during her infection and recovery period.

I will follow up with my possible COVID experience months ago, in my next newsletter. While it was brief and unconfirmed, and certainly could also have been due to exhaustion, it had all of the ear marks of the symptoms that I have seen in others.

The End of the Story?

The end of my quarantine is–and will likely not be–the end of my personal experience with COVID. For instance, our 2 1/2-year-old grandson was diagnosed with COVID recently. His symptoms were a slight short duration cough and fever, and the faucet on his nose didn't shut off. Other than the fever it sounds like a cold, doesn't it?

I think that it is safe to say that we have all been touched in some way by this virus. And it is my contention that there are many who have had the COVID infection and never known it. Particularly younger individuals, who think that they just had a cold or allergy symptoms.

Some COVID “vaccine” facts to ponder:

  • California has recently "mandated" the Pfizer mRNA “vaccine” for all children attending school.
  • Some cities are passing laws requiring parents to show documentation that their children have been given the "vaccine" in order enter a store or restaurant.
  • The Pfizer COVID “vaccine” was tested on fewer than 5,000 children between the ages of 5-11. Most of whom were followed up for only a few weeks or months.
  • Nearly ONE MILLION adverse events have been reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
  • Nearly 20,000 deaths have been reported to VAERS that have been attributed to the COVID "vaccine."
  • There have been more reports to VAERS of adverse events from the COVID "vaccine" than have been reported for ANY other single vaccine in the 31-year history of VAERS. These adverse events include Anaphylaxis, Blood Clots, Myocarditis, Heard Attacks, and other serious Cardiac Disease, Seizures and Neurological Disorders, as well as Deaths. Half of the 1.7 million vaccine reaction reports for ALL vaccines recorded since 1990 in VAERS are for the COVID "vaccine".

Does this all sound coincidental?
